About PCC

Purpose

The purpose of Plateau Christian Church is to "grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ." Ephesians 4:15. Jesus wants His church to grow closer to Him spiritually.

Mission

The mission of PCC is to fulfill its' purpose by being a blessing to God and to others. This is done by following the three great teachings of Jesus, the Great Confession (Mt 16:15-16), Great Commandments (Mt 22:37-39, and Great Commission (Mt 28:18-20).

These teachings are carried out by: Believing, Loving God and others, and Sharing the faith God has given His people.

What We Believe

PCC is a conservative, Non-denominational, Christian Church associated with other Christian churches and Churches of Christ who identify with the Restoration Movement.

The bible is the inspired Word of God and is the Christian's guide to life and salvation.

God is the creator and sustainer of the world.

Jesus is the only Son of God who died on the cross to forgive all mankind of their sins.

The Holy Spirit is the gift of God's presence to the believer for guidance, correction, comfort and strength.

The Church is God's vehicle for evangelism, ministry, and support for all believers.

Leadership

PCC is led by a body of elders who fit the Biblical qualifications for the office. They are responsible for overseeing the direction of the church and "shepherding the flock" or ministering to the spiritual needs of the congregation. The church is not led by or beholden to any outside organization or denominational body.

About the pastor

The pastor, Rob Morton, was ordained into the ministry in 1986 serving as both Youth Pastor and Senior Pastor (since 1994). He has a BA in Bible from Atlanta Christian College and an MA in preaching from Cincinnati Christian University.

Rob's wife, Cathe, is involved in teen and worship ministries. They have been married since 1985 and have three children; Rachel, and twins Reggie and Ryne.
